CONDITION: Excellent. Beautifully maintained with only small minor scratches, dents on the body that are visible under direct light. Frets are in excellent shape.

As the crown jewel of Buscarino's Archtop Collection the Virtuoso is the standard by which all other archtops are measured. Built to the most exacting standards, only the finest and highest grade materials are utilized for the crafting of this exquisite instrument. With the plethora of choices available on this guitar from highly figured and exotic woods to unique inlays and custom colors the only limit is your imagination. As much of a pleasure to look at as it is to play the Virtuoso is the perfect blend of brains and beauty which is a devastating combination that is hard to beat.

I love when I get to play a guitar commissioned by a recording artist. Those instruments have a certain mojo, attitude, and inspired point of view; they are a complete thought. And because they're commissioned by a musician, you know all the choices are made for aesthetics and to inspire great music.

You are in for a treat when the luthier is famed John Buscarino, and the player is the noted jazz guitarist Corey Christiansen. The 2009 Buscarino Virtuoso that is currently in the shop is a fantastic archtop. It is one of the very best Buscarino's I've played; its acoustic voice is so rich, woody, and pleasing. The Virtuoso model is the zenith of Buscarino’s guitar models. It is a platform that calls for John to use his most exquisite materials most elegantly. The finest wood reigns here. The European spruce top is tightly grained, and the flamed maple back is just unreal. It's  one of the nicest I've ever seen on an archtop. John left nothing on the table on this build. His execution is evident in the guitar's tone, esthetics and supreme playability. John Buscarino built a masterful guitar for a gifted player. Well done!
