Preowned, near mint
Part of the joy of this guitar is the remarkable Lollar Gold Foil pickups. They exude a wide dynamic range with a crystal clear top end and lots of in your face harmonic overtones. It's a classic sound, one that any single coil lover - from Ry Cooder to Bill Frisell to Julian Lage - would appreciate. Its simplicity doesn’t mean that it's not a beautifully and artfully built instrument. It's a Collings, after all. Their dedication to their craft is always something to behold.
The Collings 360 LT or "Level Top" takes the comfortable offset body contours of the fully carved 360 model and combines them with the simplified carve of Collings' very popular 290. The result is an exceptionally lightweight ergonomic guitar that is as comfortable to hold as it is to play. This 2015 360 LT is in near mint condition with a minor amount of pick scratches on the pickguard.
CRAIG'S POVI love the simplicity of this guitar. Being an F style player at heart, I have a certain affection for guitars that are built on a simple yet dynamic platform that feels and plays great. That simplicity means I can get the job done. There are no extra frills, no extra carves, no extra bells and whistles, just pure guitar-ness. So that's what we have here, The 360 LT model. It's all guitar. While it borrows nothing from the Telecaster per se, it reminds me of what makes the Telecaster so perfect.

Its simplicity doesn’t mean that it's not a beautifully and artfully built instrument. It's a Collings, after all. Their dedication to their craft is always something to behold. As with all Collings, the fit land finish here is righteous. Nothing is overlooked, from the stunning finish to the choice of woods. Note the choice of lightweight ash body and the super comfortable flame maple neck. It's a fantastic combination. Along with gold foils, the ivory tuning peg buttons bring a certain vintage attitude.
Bottom line—this is a super cool guitar that melds a vintage inspired tone to the playability of the finest hand made boutique guitars. You need to try it.

ABOUT COLLINGS GUITARS
Bill Collings moved from Ohio to Texas in the mid 1970’s. Spurred by a lack of interest in medical school, this move enabled him to combine lifelong interests in both guitars and tools into the challenge of stringed instrument building and repair. After a couple of years in Houston, several guitars and a few banjos later, he headed west to southern California. Making it only as far as Austin, where he shared shops with fellow luthiers Tom Ellis and Mike Stevens. From there, he set up his own small shop in a wooden "one car" garage. His reputation for outstanding quality and meticulous attention to detail quickly spread. In 1989, he rented a 1000 square foot space and hired two helpers. Fast forward to present day where Collings craftsmanship is respected by professional and amateur musicians alike…anyone on the quest for quality. Some of these include artists; Keith Richards, Lyle Lovett, Pete Townshend, Emmylou Harris, Andy Summers, David Crosby, Chris Hillman, Joni Mitchell, Don Felder, John Sebastian, Lou Reed, John Fogerty, Tim O'Brien, Pete Huttlinger, Kenny Smith, Brian May, Joan Baez, John Prine, Nigel Tufnel of Spinal Tap, and Steven Spielberg to name a few. You owe it to yourself to try one.
