It has just been too long since we’ve had one of Don Grosh’s guitars in the shop. This won’t happen again, for sure! we are, once again, incredibly impressed with Don’s rendition of a vintage classic. He has taken a vintage classic and crafted a wonderful guitar with the look and sound of its ancestors and steeped it with modern playability. The fit, finish, fretwork, and electronics are absolutely top shelf leaving nothing left to be desired.
It has just been too long since I’ve had one of Don Grosh’s guitars in the shop. This won’t happen again, for sure! I am, once again, incredibly impressed with Don’s rendition of a vintage classic. In my opinion, he has taken a vintage classic and crafted a wonderful guitar with the look and sound of its ancestors and steeped it with modern playability. The fit, finish, fretwork, and electronics are absolutely top shelf leaving me with nothing left to be desired. This one piece swamp ash body is a wonder. It's very light weight, 6.8 lbs, and extremely resonant. It has the woodiness of a fine vintage Tele with that elusive 3D quality. And talk about tone! The neck pickup is rich and translates the woody quality of the body perfectly. Jazz greats Ted Greene or Ed Bickert would just love this. The middle position has a great character, quite Strat-like indeed. And Don's bridge pickup speaks Tele all the way. Grosh really did his research for the GT pickups and they really capture the essence of vintage “T” tone. His GT bridge pickup delivers tight lows, clear mids, and smooth, spanky highs.
Bottom line here: If you are looking for a T style guitar that radiates THAT TONE coupled with with exquisite playability, the Grosh NOS Vintage should be on your radar.
If you'd like to find out more about this item, just call or e-mail me. It would be my pleasure to talk to you about it.
