How to sound like BB King in 3 easy lessons:

1) Listen to BB King's "Live At the Regal," recorded November 21, 1964 at the Regal Theater in Chicago. It's one of the finest blues albums ever recorded. I'd say listen to it a minimum of 1,000 times so that it becomes part of your inner fiber.

2) Tirelessly practice BB's vibrato technique. Practice day and night, while you are eating, while you are sleeping (do it in your dreams), between each breath you take and with every move you make.

3) Go on the road with a band and play all kinds of hard ass clubs for years. You'll know when you are getting close to the magic when the crowd stops throwing things at you.

Wait! Does this all sound a bit too challenging? Just a little too much? Might cause you job and family issues? OK, I’ll make it simpler for you. Just go ahead and buy this wonderful Gibson Luciile. It won't get you all the way there but it sure will get you closer to the vibe and sound than you probably are right now. Very cool guitar, with an absolutely amazing custom neck profile. (Honestly, this is the carve that Gibson should use on ALL their models. It's that good.) It has a sound and feel that has the MAN's signature built in. I mean it's Lucille. What else would you expect?
