The TurboJet combines the ever-popular ElectraJet body shape with the classic mahogany/maple body wood combination. It delivers those great classic rich, thick and complex tones that are achieved when you combine a mahogany body with a maple top ... warmth, richness and dimension from the mahogany with punch and clarity from the maple. And the Grosh-original body shape adds a little "more" of everything ... more depth, thickness, dimension and punch.

Virtually any tone can be coaxed from this guitar, from spank, chime and sparkle to bite, grind and crunch. And just dare it to reach into “heavy” territory as well … with ease. The TuperJet is rear-routed with proprietary chambering designed by Don himself, which produces tighter lows and punchier mids but with a clarity and openness unmatched by other mahogany/maple top guitars. Featuring master-grade, tone-tapped woods, AAAAA maple, ultra-thin nitro-lacquer finish and handcrafted Grosh pickups.
CRAIG'S POVFor those of you not familiar with Don Grosh's fantastic instruments, here's a great place to start. I'll get right to the point: This is quite an astounding and inspired guitar.
It has a saucy kind of soulful drippiness to its sound. It's very vibrant and chimey, with a deep down-home warmth that comes out when you dig into it. The notes have a very buttery attack, which I think is enhanced by the way Grosh chambers his body wood. Overall, the tone is truly exceptional. And with the distortion on, this Turbojet just screams.
Because it's so light in weight, (6.70lbs) it almost feels like its ready to launch out of my hands.
I love the mahogany neck on this baby. The wonderful satin feel covering the medium large contour of the neck feels just perfect in my hand. I am also blown away by the esthetic of this guitar. The Electrojet body shape, the AAAAA maple top in a cool charcoal burst, the matching headstock, and the figured madagascar rosewood fingerboard all add up to an elegant package for a fierce, soulful tone machine.
If you'd like to find out more about this item, just call or e-mail me. It would be my pleasure to talk to you about it.
