Everything is right about it. Not just technically, but from deep in its heart. Nacho uses old school techniques to give each guitar its own distinct personality. It is as if this guitar has been played for decades and is dripping with the sweat and soul of the player.

CRAIG'S POVIt is time to go deep. I mean really deep; a deep dive into the world of Blackguard Teles.
Before I tell you more about this fantastic instrument, I want to share a little back story. This is a "Nachocaster" - not because of the snacks, but because of the man behind it; Nacho Banos of Nachoguitars. Nacho Banos is the author of The Blackguard Book which, in my opinion, is the bible of Fender Blackguard Telecasters. Great pictures, great writing - and it is an unbelievable resource for all the info anyone could possibly want on this revered instrument. To say Nacho is truly passionate about those guitars is an understatement.
A few months back, an old friend of mine (who happens to be a founding member of the Fender Custom Shop) hipped me to the fact that Nacho has been making guitars for the last several years. He told me that they were the absolute best recreations of an early '50s Tele. Super playing, sounding, and vibed out with passionate attention to all the details that have made these guitars so desirable.
Though I couldn’t find any on the market, I was able to locate Nacho in Spain and ordered a guitar. The Nachocaster has arrived and I am absolutely blown away!! This is as close to the real vintage deal as I have ever played. That means it has all the nuances that take it over the top. Everything is right about it. Not just technically, but from deep in its heart. Nacho uses old school techniques to give each guitar its own distinct personality. It is as if this guitar has been played for decades and is dripping with the sweat and soul of the player. All materials used are selected to meet vintage specs. This particular guitar received the “Keith” treatment with its PAF sounding humbucker in the neck. Just a footnote - I practically had to pry this beauty from Nacho himself, who wanted to hold on it because he felt it was so special. This IS a super special guitar!
On Nacho's website he says "We believe it only takes a few details to set apart an outstanding instrument from a correct one, and we strive to get those details right." Without any doubt, he gets it right.
Do some research, read the stellar reviews. Short of purchasing an original Blackguard, you aren't going to do any better than a Nachocaster.
If you'd like to find out more about this item, just call or e-mail me. It would be my pleasure to talk to you about it.
