Preowned 2020, near mint
Nik Huber makes fine, masterful guitars, and this exquisite Orca '59 model is a perfect example of his artistry. Its build quality is of the highest level, with exemplary standards of fit, finish, tone, and playability. At some point in their career, most boutique builders find their voice by expanding and defining a preexisting build platform. Nik doesn't feel the need to completely reinvent what is a very successful wheel.
A legend in and of itself, the Orca looks familiar to guitar players around the world by virtue of its shape. Paying tribute to the first solid body of this kind, the Orca brings a new twist to the traditional form with a slightly thinner body and a longer scale. The classic combination of tonewoods and traditional method of construction make this guitar spring to life out of the fascinating merger between vintage values and modern-day quality.

Nik's '59 Orca is his tip of the hat to the legendary ‘bursts of Gibson's Golden Era but with a modern point of view. He takes what he considers the best parts of ‘bursts and adds a scoop of PRS, then blends them together with his unique skill, talent, and inspired vision.
The pickups are wound by Harry Häussel to Nik’s exacting specs, which will appeal to both modern and vintage enthusiasts.
Huber's care and attention add to a rich touch-sensitive voice full of nuance and bloom. Nik keeps it simple. Not a lot of knobs and switches here; plug in and play your heart out.
Nothing is held back when it comes to tonewoods; the outrageously figured quilted maple top is something to behold. The neck profile is full and deep, and I love it. An added bonus is Nik's heel scoop on the treble side. It makes for easy high fret access.
So here you have it; an exquisite, fine preowned bespoke guitar built by Nic Huber is available to check out now.
