Preowned, 2019, near mint, no issues
This exceptional guitar can travel to sonic territories that other S-style guitars dare to cross, all made possible by the Ronin’s own Tornipulater and "Magic Button" which adds a beautiful harp-like tone to this wonderful guitar. The fit and aged finish are top-notch, the vibe is exceedingly hip, with smooth playability. The neck profile is a comfortable C carve with a 1 11/16" nut width. Nice! This guitar feels oh so great in your hands.
Legendary guitarist/producer/composer David Torn introduced me to Izzy and John, aka Ronin Guitars, about 10 years ago. I had just opened CR Guitars, and Ronin was firing up as a well. Their guitars had a definite attitude — excellent dynamic instruments charged with a definite point of view. Over the years, Ronin has built a well-respected brand along with a loyal following. Having heard David play one of Ronin's beauties, I was genuinely excited when this preowned Morningstar walked through our door; not just any Morningstar, but one loaded with all the options - just like David Torn's.
This exceptional guitar can travel to sonic territories that other S-style guitars dare to cross, all made possible by the Ronin’s own Tornipulater and "Magic Button." I love the Magic Button, which adds a beautiful harp-like tone to this wonderful guitar:
"This switch is an option on the Mirari and Morningstar models and activates a specialized passive piezo wafer which resides in the bridge pickup cavity route. When activated, the body becomes alive and can be played like a drum! The tremolo springs become widely vocal and the instrument can general a wide array of dobro, steel-string, banjo and sitar inspired sounds—all while blending with the sound from the pickups. The "sweet spot" comes from rolling your volume knob off about 10-15% although many other uses have been found by adjusting your controls, amp and playing technique. Switching between pickups and using your tone control will all have an impact on the sound. Using this feature at louder-than-bedroom levels is advised to achieve themes versatility. This feature is meant to be a fun way to create texture and atmosphere and does not take away from the core functions of the instrument."

Ronin is no longer taking new Morningstar orders, so if you have ever considered getting one, here is your chance.
If you'd like to find out more about this item, just call or e-mail me. It would be my pleasure to talk to you about it.
