Joe Yanuziella is building one of the most distinctly original high quality electric guitars available today. His level of craftsmanship and his keen eye for design are in league with the great masters of guitar making. What Joe has done is focus all his talents into an instrument platform that harkens back to the unique guitars of the '50's and 60's and then, from that, created an astounding stringed instrument that is master built from the ground up.

CRAIG'S POVI am a true believer in Yanuziello's work. He really gets it. All of his instruments are incredibly inspiring to play. They are infused with a musicality that is just waiting to be released by some fortunate player. This electric Baritone is no exception. First, the workmanship is impeccable. The craftsmanship and finish work are of the highest order. Joe does all his own metal work, which really adds to its individuality. The hollowed mahogany body not only makes it light weight - 5.60lbs – but it also gives a wonderful smooth woodiness to its tone. From my experience, the scale length on a baritone is extremely critical. Too short and the notes are dead with no sustain, too long the guitar is unbalanced and difficult to manage chord work. The 28 1/4" scale that is used here is absolutely right on the money, just perfect. The curly maple cap on the body is stunning. I'm really blown away by the richness of the Brazilian fingerboard. With its incredible grain, figure and color, I would have to put it among the nicest pieces of Brazilian fingerboards I've come across. Again, Joe came through with the Fralin pickups. They are clean and distinct, letting all the cello-like resonance come through the speakers. If you've never played a baritone before, now might be the time. If you know what they are about and have been secretly yearning for one, well, I think I've found it for you.
If you'd like to find out more about this item, just call or e-mail me. It would be my pleasure to talk to you about it.
ABOUT YANUZIELLO INSTRUMENTS
It certainly doesn't take a genius to realize that guitar builder Joseph Yanuziello is the real deal. What's "the real deal" you say? When it comes to luthiers, it means someone who has built a meaningful full-time career over a long period of time, developed the craft/art/voodoo of instrument building to the highest level, carved out their own niche in an overcrowded sea of brand names, you know, the real deal! There is something about a Yanuziello that is both plain-and-simple and somehow luxurious at the same time. In fact, Yanuziello's background in design and wood/metal fabrication has served him well in producing what he would describe as "modern vintage instruments." His interest in many musical genres is reflected in the different electric and acoustic instruments he produces. "The challenge is to keep it fresh and new and a continuous learning experience...the players have a lot to do with this." - JY
